After being caught in a jail parking lot with heroin, Redmond O’Neal was formally charged today.
The son of actor Ryan O’Neal and actress Farrah Fawcett, Redmond was on his way to visit an incarcerated friend when he was stopped for a random security search. He admitted to having the drugs and was arrested immediately.
It has been speculated that he was attempting to sneak the drugs in to his friend.
His arraignment, originally scheduled for today, has been postponed until April 24th. He is still in custody and his bail has been set at $75,000. Prosecutors had recommended his bail be set at $50,000.
Redmond, 24, is currently serving a three-year probation for his 2008 DUI/drug charges.
