At a remarkably svelte 51, Kelly McGillis has decided to start her life “in a whole different phase.” She has just come out as a lesbian.
In a watershed interview published today, the twice-married actress and star of “The L Word” says she’s looking for love, and gentlemen need not apply; ‘I’m done with the man thing. I did that, I need to move on in life.” she explains.
Kelly told the reporters her orientation has been an issue since childhood but she finally feels ready to accept who she is and move on. ‘Life is a freaking journey. It’s about coming to terms with who and what you are..’ she said wisely.
Life hasn’t been easy for the Newport Beach native; In 1982 she was assaulted and raped in her New York apartment. In 2006, the assailant, Leroy Johnson, was convicted of raping two other women, and apologized to her at that time for his acts. Kelly says the attack was what led her to play a sex crimes prosecutor in 1988’s, ‘The Accused.’ with Jodie Foster. [She also auditioned for Sharon Stone’s part in 1992’s ‘Basic Instinct,’ but fortunately the gods didn’t hate her that much.]
Currently single, Ms. McGillis has two children, Kelsey, 19, and Sonora, 16, from a 13-year marriage to millionaire mogul, Fred Tillian, which ended in 2002. Now those children are grown, Kelly plans to build a totally new future, with more time to focus on her acting career.

Judgment has just been handed down in the Tyra Banks ’stalker’ case.
Brady Green, 39, who had told Police several times that he and Tyra, “had a thing together,” was arraigned on four counts of stalking, harassment, criminal trespass and attempted aggravated harassment.
After yesterday’s lengthy proceedings, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge, James Burke, who heard the case without a jury, has just delivered his verdict, finding the defendant guilty on all counts, thus making Mr. Green liable for the maximum sentence of 90-days in jail.
Sentencing is due to be delivered in June, but Mr Green’s lawyer has already made it clear to the press that his client will file an appeal.

This is a total departure for our girl – A well-traveled graduate of Carnegie Mellon he’s not involved in entertainment at all, and at a still-buff 36 he’s thirteen years older than Lindsay, so he could be a real bonus in helping her grow.
Calls were made to try to learn more but these Carnegie types can be cagey, “I’d prefer not to say anything about the situation,” was his well-humored reply.
They’ve certainly got plenty to talk about – Ben’s MySpace page shows him touring in Egypt and Sri Lanka, both of them places even Lindsay hasn’t seen. He’s based in Seattle, but that can soon change if things work out for the pair.
Judging by how friendly they were on the beach it’s possible jewelry could even be on the cards. And after some of the losers poor Lindsay’s encountered, she surely deserves a good man for a change.
